1. Saving Private Ryan (1998)-

                                            Plot – A movie that could be watched a thousand times, for the plot, the cast and the best part, World War II backdrop. Unarguably, one of the best classic movies of all time, Saving Private Ryan throws you into the harsh reality of World War II. Captain Miller and his squad land on the bloody shores of Normandy and then embark on a new mission. They must find Private Ryan, the last surviving brother of four soldiers, and bring him home safely. The journey forces the hardened Captain Miller to question the cost of war as he and his dwindling squad fight their way through France to save one man. For everyone who is fond of life & times during the World War, should watch this movie.

Despite the harsh realities of prison life, Andy never loses hope. He befriends a fellow inmate, Red, and uses his financial skills to navigate the corrupt system. Over nearly two decades, Andy hatches a meticulous escape plan, defying the institutionalized despair and reminding everyone that even in the darkest places, hope can be found like a guiding light. Some movies are made just for uplifting your spirit, just like this one!
3. A Beautiful Mind (2002)-

                            Plot – A Beautiful Mind is a Popular classic movie that chronicles the life of John Nash, a brilliant mathematician on the verge of greatness at Princeton. However, his world crumbles as he succumbs to schizophrenia. The film portrays his struggle to distinguish reality from delusion, with the help of his devoted wife Alicia. As he grapples with his illness, Nash must choose to trust his own mind and find a way to cope, ultimately achieving success despite his mental challenges. The story conveys the message that nothing can beat you down if you have the courage, perseverance and the never-say-die spirit.
4. Inception (2010)-

                            Genre – Action, Adventure, Sci-Fi
                            Cast  Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Elliot Page, Tom Hardy, Dileep Rao, Cilian Murphy, Tom Berenger (among others)

                            Plot  Mind Boggling is all I can say about this movie. Inception dives into the world of dreams where Dom Cobb, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio, a skilled thief, can steal information by entering people’s subconscious. However, Cobb’s own troubled past haunts him. Offered a chance at redemption, he’s tasked with a nearly impossible feat: “inception,” planting an idea into a powerful businessman’s mind. Cobb assembles a team of specialists to navigate the dangerous dream layers, but as the mission unfolds, facing the depths of the subconscious and confronting his own guilt threaten to make the heist, and Cobb’s very sanity, crumble.

5. The Dark Knight Trilogy (2005- 2012)-

                          Cast – Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Ken Watanabe, Liam Neeson, Heath ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Anne Hathway, Gary Oldman
                          Plot – The stellar cast of this movie is just one good thing, the other good thing about this movie is its script. Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy charts Bruce Wayne’s journey as Batman, battling corruption and iconic villains in Gotham City. It begins in “Batman Begins” with Bruce seeking vengeance for his parents’ murder, training to become a symbol of justice. In “The Dark Knight,” a terrifying Joker throws the city into chaos, forcing Batman to confront his own moral lines. The epic concludes in “The Dark Knight Rises” as an older Bruce faces a new enemy, Bane, who threatens to break Gotham both physically and spiritually. Throughout the trilogy, themes of heroism, sacrifice, and the fight for order in a corrupt world take center stage. There is something about Chris Nolan’s movies, you just can’t resist!
6. The Terminal (2004)-
                           Director – Steven Spielberg
                           Genre – Comedy, Drama, Romance
                           Cast – Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Stanley Tucci, Chi McBride, Diego Luna, Barry Shabaka Henley, Kumar Pallana, Zoe Saldana (among others)
                           Plot – Tom Hanks has acted brilliantly, as always, but it’s also the storyline that steals the show. The Terminal tells the story of Viktor Navorski, a man from a fictional Eastern European country who gets stuck in a New York airport terminal. Due to a war in his home country, his passport becomes invalid, leaving him unable to enter the U.S. but also unable to return home. Viktor carves out a life for himself within the airport, forging friendships with employees and passengers while navigating the frustrating bureaucracy that holds him captive. It’s a comedic and heartwarming tale about resilience, human connection, and finding a sense of home in the most unexpected place.
7. The Lion King (2019)-
                           Director – Jon Favreau
                           Genre – Musical, Drama
                           Cast – Chiwetel Ejiofor, John Oliver, James Earl Jones, John Kani, Alfre Woodard, JD McCrary, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Penny Johnson Jerald (among others)
                           Plot – One of the favorite movies that takes me back in time to my childhood. The Lion King utilizes stunning photorealistic animation to bring the classic story to life once more. Simba, a young cub destined for the throne, witnesses his father’s death at the hands of his evil uncle, Scar. Scar seizes the Pride Lands, forcing Simba into exile. Years later, a grown Simba must confront his past and overcome his guilt to return home. With the help of his childhood friend Nala and wise guidance from Rafiki, Simba challenges Scar for his rightful place as king, ultimately restoring balance to the savanna. This is one of those classic movies everyone must see.
8.  Pursuit Of Happyness (2008)-
                           Director – Gabriele Muccino
                           Genre – Biography · Drama
                           Cast – Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Thandiwe Newton, Brian Howe, James Karen, Dan Castellaneta, Kurt Fuller, Takayo Fischer, Kevin West (among others)
                           Plot – The Pursuit of Happyness tells the inspiring true story of Chris Gardner, a struggling salesman facing homelessness with his young son. Despite financial hardship and setbacks, Chris fights for a coveted stockbroker internship. The film portrays his unwavering determination to create a better life for his child, showcasing the strength of fatherhood and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. Don’t ever miss the end of the movie, because that part of Chris Gardner’s life was called “Happiness”.                  9.  A Few Good Men (1992)-

                           Genre – Drama, Thriller
                           Cast – Tom Cruise, Jack Nicholson, Demi Moore, Aaron Sorkin, Kevin Bacon, Kiefer Sutherland , James Marshall, Kevin Pollak (among others)
                           Plot – The speech by Tom Cruise still gives me Chills, Literal chills! It is one of those old classic movies, you can re-watch time and again. A Few Good Men dives into a military courtroom drama. Two Marines are on trial for the murder of a fellow soldier at Guantánamo Bay. A young, jaded lawyer, Lieutenant Kaffee, is assigned their defense. With the help of a determined Navy lawyer, Kaffee uncovers a conspiracy within the Marines that goes far beyond the initial accusation. As they fight for their clients’ lives, Kaffee and his team must take on powerful figures to expose the truth about a deadly hazing ritual and the lengths some will go to protect military tradition.
10. Titanic (1997)-
                            Director – James Cameroon
                            Genre – Documentary · History
                            Cast – Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Billy Zane, Kathy Bates, Frances Fisher (among others)

James Cameron’s 1997 epic romance disaster film, Titanic, one of the greatest classic movies of all time, weaves a fictional love story into the historical backdrop of the doomed ship’s maiden voyage.
